Come to the GCCC Saturday July 23rd dressed as your favorite pop culture character or creation and register into the contest at the cosplay booth. Entry to the contest is FREE but the number of entrees may be limited!
Registration begins at 10 am and Pre-Judging runs from 11:30 and closes at 1:30. You MUST attend pre-judging to be consider for prizes or walk onto the staging area. The cosplay parade begins at 2:10 (optional and open to everyone) at the cosplay sign up booth and the contest begins at 2:30 in Panel Room A. Contestants should be in line no later than 2:30 outside of Panel Room A. Seating may be limited during the contest, so plan accordingly with your friends and family.
Contestants for the adult cosplay contest should be age 18 and up. Your costume should be appropriate for the convention and follow all guidlines put forth by the Gem City Comic Con. Your costume/ cosplay may not be a previous winner of any major award. Each contestant will be given a few minutes to talk about their costume during pre-judging. Judges will be looking at craftsmanship and originality so please feel free to provide references of who you are dressed as, how long it took to make and what materials or skills were used in the making of your costume. Costumes may only be 25% store purchased items and at least 75% created. No store bought costumes please.
The final verdict and decisions from the judges are final!
